....by my good friend and fellow backyard farmgirl, Anna. RASPBERRY BUSHES are coming soon! Thank you, Anna for graciously thinking of me, when viewing raspberry bushes for sale. I just got done telling my awesome husband, that I wanted to add raspberries next year to the ever growing collection of fruit in the backyard....and the Lord thru Anna is providing bushes this year for a great price. AWESOME gift to fit this beautiful, relaxing day I'm having. Phil on the other hand will be digging 3 more holes before the end of the week. I love you honey...I do. You, by association are the "backyard farmer" and someday I might get to sing, "she thinks my tractor's sexy"!
Dare I pray ahead for apple trees? I do have my mind wrapped around my own, albeit, small apple orchard. I do, however, have two 30 ft evergreen trees to get rid of first. So first and foremost, I'll be praying for the removal of those trees and since it cost alot of money to remove them, it might be awhile before I can pick an apple from Alison's Apple Orchards and bake a pie for the Washington County Fair. Dream big, pray hard and get on with doing the Lord's will in your life.
Have an awesome day everyone!

How about peach trees? My neighbor told me this evening he just planted three peach trees. He got them via UPS, coming from Missouri. He expects peaches in three years.
ReplyDeleteLove the title of this post! I hope we are both enjoying lots of berries this summer!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Thank you again for thinking of me....May I come with the kids next Thursday?
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! New to the spot here. I'm so excited to be part of this blog. I just invited another "backyard farm girl" to join us. Hope she will. Tested our soil this week...hopefully added what we needed...it's rained...and ready to plant on Saturday when I get back home from visiting my parents in Harrisburg. Planted seeds indoors. Swiss Chard is only thing coming up so far. This is going to be a FUN summer! Yeah!
ReplyDeleteHello Kimaroo! What did your soil test indicate? I should have tested mine this year, but skipped it; hope that doesn't come back to haunt me later..How is your fence coming along? Plantings?
