Since you just returned from streams of running water (sans fish in your hand), and since your "Bible passage I'm pondering" list is empty, how about Psalm 1?
ReplyDeleteWe discussed this psalm to some extent yesterday in class. For a more in depth look at Psalm 1 (and 107), a book by Martyn Lloyd-Jones is a great resource, "True Happiness." The book has about 80 pages devoted to Psalm 1, and about 120 pages to Psalm 107.
Glad to hear that you made no dent in the fish population, but, more importantly, had a great time with family.
Is that book in the church library? I would be interested in reading it.
ReplyDeleteYes, thank you Roger, we did have a very nice and relaxing time. Sad, however, that I did not fullfil my dream of catching a trout and cooking it over the open flame....next time.
I think the book was one I donated to the library long ago. But, most of what I donated was cleared out and given away. I don't know if it is still there or not.
